I have the same tutor from last semester for one of my courses. I mean she can’t remember my name which I told her every tutorial last semester, but she remembers that my family is Indian which I mentioned in one example for 2 minutes in one tutorial one time.

So today in the tutorial we were talking about social stratification and she got onto the caste system. And then she starts in-depth quizzing me about the caste system in front of the entire tutorial group. I know a bit about the caste system, obviously, but the caste system is not something we talk about very often/at all at home.

There was a Pakistani girl in our tutorial as well who was actively trying to tell this tutor about the caste system because this girl is actually in a caste, but this fucking tutor just kept asking me. I’m not an encyclopedia on all things India.
